Sick during the holidays

Okay, it is tough to find alot of joy being sick during the holidays. Coughing, aches and pains, sleeping alot and not accomplishing much. But having a sweet husband to help take care of me is nice. He made me hot tea, and brought me lunch in bed. Read some in a good book and took a nap. Maybe there is some redeeming qualities to slowing down and just resting. The To Do Lists will always be there...they don't go away. So far now, I guess I just take my medicine and rest. Our new year's eve will be spend at home together probably watching TV but at least we will be together. Happy New Year and God Bless!

Time alone with my husband

Tonight instead of going to a holiday party, my husband and I picked up some dinner and came home and just chilled out together. We watched some TV, laughed at a funny movie and he made some sweet dessert and shared with me. Relaxing, simple time but actually brought more joy to me than if we went to a party where we would end up most of the night walking around talking to different people and not spending much time together. It really doesn't take alot to enjoy an evening together - just being together is enough.
